After nearly a month, Loveland’s snowmaking efforts have finally paid off. Following A-Basin and a few other resort openings nationwide, Loveland is set to open tomorrow, October 23rd, for the start of the 2012/13 season. October has beckoned the first tastes of winter, with several cold fronts gracing the area throughout the month. Due to the weather, snowmaking crews have been working tirelessly to lay the top-to-bottom 18 inch base and get the season pumping early.
Opening day runs will consist of Catwalk, Mambo, Home Run and several terrain parks. The forecast is sunny and snow is on the ground, so make sure to stop by, grab some turns and celebrate their 75th season.
Loveland is located off I-70 highway and is the first stop in a long list of stellar ski areas west of Denver.
