Discrete Headwear has announced the addition of hard hitting Utah native Sierra Quitiquit to their ski team for the 2012/13 season. Quitiquit is praised for her energy and coming off a highly successful 2011/12 season, is looking to add some flair to an already well-rounded Discrete team.
Born in Park City, Utah, Quitiquit has a background in racing and competing in the World Freeskiing Tour. She is a fast, aggressive skier who has confidence in charging down some of the roughest terrain. Lately, she has called the skiers-only mountain, Alta, home and has recently skied in Chile, Argentina, Jackson Hole, Alaska and Switzerland. She also was featured in Powder, Skiing and Ski Magazine and has received multiple filming options and sponsorships.
This winter, Sierra Quitiquit has ambitious plans to stay on the road. She is heading to Japan to ski deep powder and hopes to find steep, critical transitions and big airs in Jackson Hole while filming with KGB Production. While at home in Utah, she will be adventuring in the backcountry, lapping runs at Alta and working with professional photographers. Her goals for the 2012/13 season are to, “train hard, go big, have fun and spread stoke.”
Discrete founder, Julian Carr, is a world renowned skier who has headlined for the Ski Channel’s “Winter” and is starring in Warren Miller’s new film “Flow State”. He is molding his team into a group of cliff hucking, hill charging skiers who are willing to take skiing to the next level. Sierra is another great leap toward that goal.
Haven’t seen her in action? Then your in luck! Enjoy.
