Portland’s annual launch to winter is coming up next weekend at the Portland Expo Center. The Portland SkiFever and Snowboard Show, presented by the Oregonian, is in its 33rd year. It always brings a big rush of adrenalin to the winter sports crowd eagerly waiting for resorts to open.
The show runs 1pm-10pm Friday November 2, then 10am-10pm Saturday, November 3, and 10am-6pm Sunday, November 4.
The Expo Center is located at 2060 North Marine Drive. Trade Shows West produces the Portland show, as well as the Seattle show that takes place this weekend at the Washington State Convention Center.
The Portland show will be loaded with the typical preseason goodies: huge sales of winter sports gear, representatives from the resorts, a ski swap, winter-themed entertainment and much more. This is an event you definitely don’t want to miss if you’re in the area!
Dan Schindler, show organizer, will lend his support to Fred Noble, the longtime Portland skier struggling with ALS.
