Simon Dumont is one of the best skiers in the world, so naturally he needs and wants the best gear, including gloves. There’s only one problem — they haven’t been made yet! Changing their focus away from needless accessories, Empire Attire, founded by Simon Dumont and his partner Otto Hanson, is looking to change the world of glove manufacturing. With an acute attention to detail, manufacturing and utility, Simon and Otto plan to not only keep your hands warm but also focus on responsible business tactics.

What else makes his company rad? Well, their relocation to the United States and attention to stimulating the United States economy. Empire has devised a strategy that includes a 30-day campaign designed to raise $25,000. The campaign will provide critical funding that will allow Empire Attire to relocate its distribution, packaging, printing, and design operations to Denver, Colorado.  Further, Empire hopes to add new styles, adapt the line to fit the emerging needs of action sports, and push the envelope of glove technology.

Empire CEO Otto Hanson says, “We are doing this Campaign because we really want to show that small companies can make a big difference.  Empire was created as a company for skiers by skiers.  We want ski fans and lovers to take ownership of our Brand which is why we are reaching out to the public directly for their help.”

Simon Dumont - Empire Attire Gloves

Simon Dumont is a world class skier and winner of countless world events. He has recently featured in ground breaking ski films such as “Winter”, a Ski Channel production, and is planning on competing in the coming Winter Olympics. What inspired Empire Attire’s new philosophy? Simon and Otto found that no company was singularly designing gloves that appealed to casual lifestyle skiers, professional skiers and action sports athletes, while meeting the rigorous performance requirements of professionals like Simon. From this dawned the new age of their apparel company, which is making an effort to move their business back to the states and make the most advanced product possible.

Empire Attire is setting the tone for responsible business ventures. Help them achieve their goal and be a part of a movement we hope other companies will follow.
