The Lake Tahoe region has been getting slamed with some early-season storms, giving mountains like Heavenly a ton of natural snow. Thanks to the most recent dump of 1 1/2 feet of fresh powder, and being able to fire up their state-of-the-art snowmaking operations, Heavenly was able to bump up their opening day to November 14th!
Heavenly will operate Tamarack Express Chairlift on Wednesday, providing skiers and snowboarder with access to upper California Trail and Tamarack Return. By the weekend, the resort plans to add Dipper Express and Orion’s run, one of Heavenly’s famous mile-long groomed cruisers. All told, the resort will offer over 30 acres of skiable terrain. Everything will be accessed via the Heavenly Gondola.
After a day of shredding the slopes, beginning at 3:30pm, you can round out your afternoon with the second annual Unbuckle, which is said to be the ski industry’s highest-elevation and highest-energy on-mountain party.
There’s still time to snag a season pass! Starting at $419, you can gain access to Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood all season long. Weather forecasts are calling for even more snow and optimal snowmaking temperatures as we head into the weekend
So think about it…..but not too hard — just buy it and thank yourself later. See you out there!
