6-8 inches of fresh POW fell for opening lifts today at Targhee and new terrain openings put them at nearly 100%. Light snow fell over the Wasatch, Rain over Lake Tahoe resorts (Below 8,000 feet) and nearly 3 feet has fallen at Mammoth Mountain in 3 days.

 BIG POW STILL COMING!

Heavy snow with decent snow levels is moving into the Northwest (12-18 inches likely) tonight and Sunday this will impact central Idaho, Wyoming, and the Northern Wasatch by Sunday Mid Day through Monday morning.  Expect Grand Targhee and Jackson to pick up 9-12 inches by Monday morning (COLD SNOW, FACE SHOTS LIKELY).  The Wasatch range from Snowbird and North (Powder, Snowbasin) will see 7-9 inches. Colorado will see light snow after midnight Sunday with mountains North of I-70 seeing some light to moderate snow and colder temperatures (2-5).

THE SHORT TERM CHASE:

Sunday:  Pacific Northwest, Baker, Stevens all with good dumpage and decent densities. Mammoth due to heavy recent dumpage and new terrain openings.

Monday: Wasatch of Utah (All Mountains, however more near the Cottonwoods due to elevation),  Grand Targhee, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (High confidence in 9-14 inches from Sunday Noon to Monday 5AM).
