Saturday’s victory wrapped up a weekend sweep for Seth Wescott who also won Friday’s USANA Snowboardcross Cup.

Although it was a close finish, Wescott and partner Holland won each of the event’s three heats.

Wescott described his hard fought victory, saying, “I messed up that upper flat. I got out in the powder. I waited and played the draft to the end. I knew if I was on him coming to that last jump that I would be able to get him by the finish line. It was tight.”

Fellow Americans Jackie Hernandez and Faye Gulini took fifth, and Nick Baumgartner and Hagen Kearney finished ninth.

The next SBX event is slated for January 24 – 26, 2013 with the FIS Snowboard World Championships in Stoneham, PQ.
