Jackson Hole Mountain Resort welcomes in the New Year with great snow and unexpected business levels for the holiday period. Jackson Hole experienced record breaking skier day numbers for the month of December. Mountain Sports School had its best holiday period to date through children's programs, guided skiing and private lessons.
The new Casper Lift and intermediate trail expansion, in addition to the Marmot Lift the prior year, allowed the mountain to handle the significant increase in skier days. Jerry Blann, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort President had this to say regarding the record numbers of riders his resort has ever seen over the course of the past month: “The new Casper Lift and improved intermediate terrain was received extremely well by our guests, and wa
s key in the way the mountain handled the increase in skier visits so well.” Blann also noted, “Guests couldn't be happier, as proven by Net Promoter Scores from the week jumping 12 percentage points higher than any time in our history.” The entire mountain was open by mid-December, and conditions have been leading the industry with over 16 feet of snow so far this season. A Christmas Eve storm cycle dropped two feet of snow for holiday skiers and riders to enjoy, making the holiday in Jackson Hole truly remarkable. The Tetons received 25 days of snowfall in the month of December, resulting in above-average snow totals and depths for the season.
