David Wise Takes the Superpipe Gold at X Games Aspen 2013

David Wise continued to dominate the Superpipe at X Games Aspen 2013. The skier took a commanding lead in his first run scoring a 94.33, and kept the amplitude cranked on his second run to earn his winning 95.66!

Torin Yater-Wallace was hot on the defending champion's heels throughout all three rounds, but fell short on each attempt scoring a 90.00, a 92.00 and a 93.00.

The podium was rounded out by Simon Dumont, who skied despite recent wrist injuries to score a 79.33, 80.66, and an 85.66 for his final run.

Wise started his winning run with a rightside 720 mute into a switch double 1080, followed by back-to-back double cork 1260 mutes, and an ally-oop flatspin 540 tail. The star athlete litera

lly broke the amplitude meter reaching well over 17 feet on three of his hits.
