The women's Snowboarding Slopestyle event wrapped up on Saturday in epic fashion with Jamie Anderson taking her fourth career X Games gold! Anderson scored a 93.00 in the first round with a commanding performance, that simply could not be matched. Anderson was followed by Sarka Pancochova who took second with a 90.00 in her third run, and Spencer O'Brien who scored an 88.66 in the third run.
Anderson spoke of her latest victory, saying, “The course was absolutely amazing and really challenging, it took all week for me to put it together. I truly didn't know exactly how it was going to go. I was building my run up everyday this week, the jumps were some of the biggest jumps I've ever hit. This is my tenth year at X
Games. I started in snowboardcross and changed to slopestyle at 15 years old and it's really cool to see us all progressing slopestyle together. I really tried to connect with the energy here and get centered and I am thankful it worked out for me. “
Employing her highly technical riding style, Anderson pulled a front 360 off the cannon rail, followed by a back one, cab 720 and finished out with a switch back 540.
