A revolutionary idea has turned into reality thanks to professional snowboard icon Travis Rice, who has created the Red Bull Ultra Natural competition. With 15 of the top snowboarders around the globe, progressive snowboarding limits are continuously pushed on a freestyle big-mountain competition.

Starting February 15-21 for a holding period for awesome conditions in Baldface Lodge outside of Nelson, B.C., Canada, each rider will conquer untouched territory along with intense features created by Red Bull. Not to mention, the risk of avalanches on the steep slope is a definite factor of choosing the safest riding day. From park, to pipe, to freestyle, each rider’s unique snowboard specialty will bring an edge to the competition.

Over 80 features including pillow and tree lines, jibs and jumps will be spread along the 45+ degree slope known as “Scary Cherry,” for more complex and unique runs that the riders can charge.

Riders have 2 runs in one day of competition to take the title. Judges and snowboard gurus Jamie Lynn, Andy Hetzel, Peter Line, Temple Cummins, and Head Judge Tom Burt will determine who has the best of 2 runs. As for the athletes, there are no other options but to go big and make each run count.
