The Sprint US Snowboarding & Freeskiing Grand Prix returns on February 25 – March 2nd, making Canyons Resort once again the center of the Snowboardcross and Skicross worlds. Five Americans currently ranked in the top 15 in the world will be vying for slots in the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

The $42,000 prize money will force skiers and riders to battle, while American will compete for the title of US National Champion.
After securing two World Cup podium finishes this season, Nick Baumgartner is scheduled to compete alongside two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Seth Wescott. Salt Lake Magazine recently featured two athletes that are scheduled to compete, Alex Deibold and top-ranked American Faye Gulini.
Skicross will return to the US Grand Prix this year where the World Cup winner, John Teller, will serve as the U.S. favorite. Top American female, Langely McNeal will be competing as well. Skicross made its Olympic debut in Vancouver (2010) where Switzerland’s Michael Schmid and Canada’s Ashleigh McIvor won the gold medals.
