Spring break is just around the corner and snow can still be found in sunny, Southern California at Mountain High Resort. Bringing fun in the sun and snow, Mountain High and main sponsor Snowboarder Magazine, present the annual weekend celebration with Spring-A-Ma-Jig from March 29-31 for kids ages 5 to 105. With daily activities such as Pond Skimming, Tug-O-War, the Big Ollie, and the Frozen T-Shirt Contest, each day features a primary competition for participants to get the chance to claim a prize while having a good time. Epic daily events include live music, DJs, vendors and giveaways.
The Big Ollie contest, consists of snowboarders who must “ollie” as high as they can over a bar, which raises higher each round until only one rider remains. The Tug-O-War has a twist at Mountain High with the competition being held in the snow and resulting in a pond swim for the losing team. As for the Frozen T-Shirt Contest, ten frozen shirts from the icy tundra of Mountain High North Resort must be broken apart and put on by the competitors. The first brave soul to put on the icy t-shirt wins a Mountain High swag bag. Pond Skimming tops off the event as skiers and snowboarders must skim across a 50 foot pond filled with freezing cold water or take the freezing plunge.
Get pumped for Friday’s special event of the 80’s costume throwback contest of Retro Fools Day with a Dance Off, Best Dressed award and more. The audience has the privilege to be the judges for participants in these free events.
