Spyder Snow Fest 2013 – Snow At The Beach!

It was snowing in Hermosa Beach, CA this past weekend at the third annual 2013 Spyder Snow Fest brought to you by Spyder Surfboards, Mountain High and Monster Energy. Mountain High snow blowers dumped 60 tons of snow on a three-story high scaffolding, known as Mount Hermosa, turning Pier Ave into a winter wonderland. The snow was shaped into a snowboard terrain park for both pros and amateurs to demo, snowboarders exhibited their best tricks for the crowd, hitting rails and fun boxes. After the best trick contest, Peace Tea held a one-of-a-kind sledding experience for kids and families. The event was a huge success and it truly was a winter wonderland at the beach!

The set up for Mount Hermosa was all-time. Even though the weather was cold and windy, crowds gathered to get a front row seat for the demo. spydersnoefest-photo Laura Thatcher

The kinked down-rail at the end of the run did not disappoint the crowds or judges.
