U.S Freeskier’s Kentworthy and Drew Both Win Copper Mountain, First Stop Of The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series

Another big win for USA this past weekend!

U.S Freeskiing Team Gus Kentworthy and Annalisa Drew both win Halfpipe at the first stop of The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series presented by Nissan at Copper Mountain, CO. Gus Kentworthy from Telluride, CO and Annalisa Drew from Andover, MA, both took first place overall in super pipe, each winning over $25,000 in prize money and product. Copper Mountain was the first stop of the 2014 The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series, presented by Nissan (PPOS). Finals day this past weekend consisted of fifteen men and fifteen women competing, striving to win the first Association of Freeskiing Professionals (AFP) U.S event of the season.

Mens champion Gus Kentworthy of USA finished off his final run with a high score of 93.5, confirming his place at number one.

Annalisa Drew, U.S Rookie Freeskiing Team Athlete, finished solid with a final high score of 84.5, placing her in first place and at the top of the women’s podium.

The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series presented by Nissan continues throughout the 2014 season with stops at Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia, Canada (Jan. 13-16), Stratton Mountain, Vermont (Feb. 20-22) and a fourth location to be announced.
