Aspen Highlands And Buttermilk Open To Complete The Power Of Four

Aspen/Snowmass, CO,-  Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk opened for the season today, joining Snowmass and Aspen Mountain and bringing total open acreage to more than 4,600 acres, the most in the country. Buttermilk and Aspen Highlands opened the gates with more than 90 percent of their terrain.

Skiers and riders were thrilled to see most of the Highland Bowl also opened by 9 a.m. Tremendous early season snowfall allowed both Aspen Mountain and Snowmass to open early, and the Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk opening completed the Power of Four today. This weekend also brought the terrain total at Snowmass to 2,500 acres with the opening of the Two Creeks Lift, Burnt Mountain and Longshot.
