Olympic champion Billy Demong (Vermontville, NY) will be in the lineup for this week’s International Ski Federation Continental Cup at the Utah Olympic Park and Soldier Hollow. Demong, fresh off a season-best top 10 at a World Cup in Austria on Sunday, is flying back specifically to ski in the Dec. 17-19 Continental Cup and hopefully earn an additional World Cup quota spot for the USA that is vital for the team’s Sochi preparation.

Competition will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with jumping at the Utah Olympic Park at 10:30 a.m. each day and a 10k cross country race at Soldier Hollow at 2:00 p.m.

The U.S. Ski Team is hoping Demong can score top-three finishes to earn the USA an additional quota spot on the World Cup tour.
