The Ski Channel is sorry to report that hearts are heavy with grief as friends and family learn of the death of 19-year-old Kendra Bowers. The sophomore at the University of Vermont was involved in a skiing accident at Sugarbush Resort in Vermont that eventually lead to her passing.
On February 2nd around 11am, Bowers was skiing with friends and family when she lost control of her skis on the Lower Rim Run and struck a trail sign. Despite being taken to Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, she was unable to recover from the injuries and was pronounced deceased.
According to Associated Press, Bowers was the Public Relations representative for the a cappella signing group at UVM.
