Utah Spring Skiing

While it may already be April, the spring skiing season is still alive and well, especially if you know where to go.

If you’re looking for a last minute trip, Utah might be the best option for you. Some of the best resorts in the world: Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, are all within an hour drive from airport. Snowbird and Alta both have a 126’’ base and are expected up to three more inches this past weekend, with moderate temperatures throughout next week, perfect for spring skiing. Brighton is currently at a 118’’ base.

Depending on where you are, Washington might be too far of a flight, although Mt. Baker is getting pounded with snow and seems to be the best resort for some deep powder skiing in April. Mt. Baker has a whopping 197’’ base with 14 inches in the past 48 hours, and they are expecting more snowfall through the weekend and the beginning of next week. Temperatures are also very moderate and enjoyable for some deep spring skiing.
