55 international athletes are expected to compete in Park City this week for a Ski Federation Nordic Combined Continental Cup. The event takes place Dec. 11-13 at the Utah Olympic Park ski jumps, with cross country racing at Gorgoza Park.The event will feature many of the top Nordic combined athletes in America including Olympic champion Billy Demong and Olympian Taylor Fletcher.
Nordic combined consists of a single jump on the 100-meter hill at Utah Olympic Park, followed by a 10k cross country event at Gorgoza Park, where the athletes will ski six laps up and down the tubing hill. All events are free and open to spectators with the competition starting today at 2:30 p.m.
