Late Saturday evening, the Aspen area was hit with a nice snow storm , making for an excellent powder day on Sunday for skiers and riders. Aspen Snowmass and Buttermilk reported seven inches of new snowfall, Aspen Highlands received six inches and Aspen Mountain reported five inches. As all four mountains gear up for the holiday season, the snow could not have come at a better time. Skiers and riders enjoyed access to 2,328 acres of open terrain, with more opening in the near future.
