In this Ski Channel exclusive, professional photographer and free skier Clark Fyans explains how he turned his childhood passions into a full-fledged career. At the age of two years old, skiing had already consumed his life. To Clark, skiing was a magical connection with nature and sliding across the ground made him feel like he was flying. Shortly after, he developed his passion for photography.
In his early adolescent years, Clark viewed his first ski helicopter film and immediately knew what he was destined to do. Skiing and photography had already been factors in the equation, but shooting from a helicopter was ultimately the missing piece of the puzzle.
By the age of 18, Clark had already secured a job with the Park City Patrol where he worked medical and as avalanche control. It wasn’t until he became a helicopter guide in Alaska that he integrated photography into the equation. Clark Fyans is a talented photographer and has a truly amazing story.
