An glacier-sized avalanche broke yesterday in Valdez, Alaska, blocking the Lowe river flow and forming a giant ‘ice lake’ . The ice lake is about 60 feet deep and is still growing. According to CNN, all motor access to the town of Valdez has been cut off and officials urge voluntary evacuations of all the 4,000 Valdez residents.

The clip shows an aerial view of  Keystone Canyon and Lowe River with the massive ice lake that has formed and the danger it imposes of how and when the ice lake will release.
