Park City’s Intelligent Design Snowboard Contest Saturday

This is Intelligent Design, mountain style.  Nothing to do with scientific-ignoring 6,000-year-old planets and those tricky fossils.  Park City’s The Intelligent Design is the progression of competitive snowboard contests, encompassing disparate aspects of the sport into one run.  “This event will be the first of its kind, combining slopestyle and halfpipe into a single course," commented Jim Mangan, action sports marketing director for Park City Mountain Resort and course designer for the IDPC.

Yes, first there was the halfpipe.  Then, came slopestyle.  Now we have the power of two with The Intelligent Design!  An idea this brilliant has obviously drawn the interest of the top competitors.  Shaun White, Mark Frank Montoya, Torstein Horgmo, and Andreas Wiig will all be on hand Saturday morning, competing for a $50,000 prize purse.  To narrate all the action, The Dingo will be there!
