The wind was blowing hard, making conditions difficult for competitors in halfpipe at the New Zealand Winter Games.  Colorado’s Taylor Seaton was boosting higher than the rest, besting the filed with a score of 84.20.  Good times in New Zealand for Seaton who had a second place finish in the Volkl NZ Freeski Open just nine days prior.

David Wise beat Winter X Games gold medalist Xavier Bertoni by just 0.2 points.

On the ladies side, Swiss skier Mirjam Jaeger’s score of 83.80 was five points higher than that of second place finisher, Canadian Rosalind Groenewoud.  Fellow Canadian Dania Assaly rounded out the podium.
