Val D’Isere Launches 2009-10 World Cup Season with Six Races in December

Val d’Isere, the legendary French ski resort (Jean-Claude Killy learned to ski there!), will once again be the launching pad for the 2009-10 Alpine World Cup.  En Francais, my friend, it’s called “Critérium de la Première Neige” and it consists of six Alpine World Cup ski comps.  Of course, since it’s Val D, the action will be just as heavy off the slope as on.

Here’s a breakdown of the events:
Friday 11th December 2009 : Men Super combined
Saturday 12th December 2009 : Men Super G
Sunday 13th December 2009 : Men Giant Slalom

Friday 18th December 2009 : Women Super combined
Saturday 19th December 2009 : Women Downhill
Sunday 20th December 2009 : Women Super G
