Free Skiing World Tour Returns to Canada

Grab your maple syrup and get ready to chug as the Freeskiing World Tour returns to Canada for its second stop of the tour. The Canadian Freeskiing Championship hits Revelstoke, British Columbia bringing in an all star cast of Canadian freeskiers to judge the event.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort and its surrounding areas have received recent acclaim for some of the best skiing conditions in all of Canada. Home to some of the freshest powder on the Monashee Mountains, Revelstoke hosts cat skiing and heli skiing throughout the season as well as fully accessible lift service. On that note, Revelstoke also lays claim to the highest lift-serviced vertical in North America. But don’t stop chugging for that sugar rush as the glory doesn’t stop there.

As the second stop of six on the tour, Revelstoke will welcome Canadian freeski judges Andrew Sheppard and Jeff Holden to the cast. Arguably two of the best freeskiiers of the Canadian Rockies, Sheppard and Holden take a well defined look at this year’s talent. This is the 12th year of the tour and the boys can’t wait to keep the competition coming back to Canada.

Revelstoke is located in Eastern British Columbia and is brand new to the list of ‘well-endowed’ Canadian resor

ts. This is only the third season of operation, with already nationally acclaimed credit as one of the largest and most versatile resorts in North America. With the combination of lift, cat and heli skiing there is a total of 515,000 acres of possible freeski terrain.

Just another tid-bit that makes me proud to be a Canadian.
