Final day of operations at Mt. Washington celebrated with Undie 500

Comox Valley, Canada – This Saturday, the Undie 500 will be held at Vancouver Island’s Mount Washington to mark the end of the resort’s successful winter season.

Mt. Washington’s 2009-10 season was one of its best in years, gaining a head start in November with record snowfall, serving as a center for pre-Olympic training in January, and nearly surpassing its deepest snow accumulation record by season’s end.

On Mount Washington’s final day, lifts will operate from 9 am to 3:30 pm; events include the Natural Pastures Cheese Roll and the 11:15 race. Race and lift tickets are $30 – under the condition that those who register are in ONLY their underwear. Registration begins at 9:30 am at the ticket kiosk outside the Alpine Lodge.
