For four consecutive Fridays beginning Jan. 21, Wintergreen Resort will be hosting “Ski & Ride Clinics” for women taught by the resort’s female instructors who will blend personalized instruction with just enough challenge to bolster the abilities of all participants.
The clinics, geared for women seeking to improve their skiing and riding skills, will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with the final session set for Feb. 11. Individual sessions are $99, or a package rate of $350 for all four including lunch. Equipment rental and lift ticket are not included.
In related news, Wintergreen Resort also will host the “Women’s HEAD Ski/Ride Weekend Clinic,” a culmination of the women’s clinics offered throughout the season, the weekend of Feb. 18-19. World champion Alison Gannett will conduct the weekend clinics along with the resort’s female instructors. The grand finale weekend will feature high quality skiing and riding clinics, workshops, dining and social networking for women of all ages.
The clinic starts at 4 p.m. Friday (Feb. 18) with hills and skills exercises, followed by dinner at Devils Grill. Saturday’s schedule calls for a continental breakfast, more hills and skills clinics in both the morning and afternoon and lunch, all capped by a late afternoon après-ski party and awards ceremony.
The weekend clinic is $299/person if booked seven days in advance; $350/person otherwise. For those wishing to participate in the four Friday clinics and the weekend clinic, a package rate is available for $650.
Seminar participants also are eligible for access to latest HEAD ski and snowboard demo equipment for skiing/riding (participants will need to provide their own boots) and discount lodging reservations, which are available by calling 434/325-2200 and referencing participation in the clinics.
