WHISTLER, BC - A pre-winter Whistler tradition, the Whistler Blackcomb Turkey Sale returns October 7-10, 2011. With over 20,000 square feet of ski and snowboard gear for sale at up to 70% off, the Turkey Sale marks the unofficial start to winter. Located in the Blackcomb Daylodge in the Upper Village, there is no better way to gear up for the upcoming ski season. Official opening day at Whistler Blackcomb is set for November 24, 2011. Meteorologists once again predicting a La Niña winter, another epic season of snow is being anticipated.

The Turkey Sale kicks off on Friday, October 7, from noon to 9pm with special access for locals, Season Pass and EDGE Card holders. The sale continues on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9 from 9am to 6pm and on Monday, October 10 from 10am to 5pm.
The CAN-SKI Blackcomb store, located right down the stroll from the Turkey Sale, will be offering special Thanksgiving weekend deals as well. Offers include a sneak preview of this season’s ski apparel and equipment and 50% off all regular priced 2011 BOGNER gear on Saturday October 8 from 3-6pm.
The Kid’s Buy Back program will also return to CAN-SKI this year. Shoppers who purchase new junior equipment can return it by May 31, 2012 to receive a voucher for 50% off their gear next winter. The Whistler Mountain Ski Club will be hosting its annual Sale With Awesome Prices alongside the Turkey Sale. Visitors and residents can sell their used gear, or pick up one of the many second-hand bargains available.
