Fourth Stop Added to The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series presented by Nissan

The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series Presented by Nissan (PPOS) announced yesterday that they will add an additional stop at Heavenly Mountain Resort. This fourth and final stop of the 2014 PPOS tour will feature a slopestyle competition in Heavenly Mountain Resort’s Ante Up Park on March 13-15, 2014.
With the recent surge of freestyle skiing popularity, the PPOS provides another opportunity for up-and-coming athletes to compete alongside professionals.
“We are excited to offer athletes one more chance to compete this winter at Heavenly Mountain Resort,” said Katie Ramage, The North Face Sports Marketing Director. ”The resort’s excellently maintained terrain parks will provide a wonderful competition venue with Lake Tahoe as a stunning backdrop.”
Heavenly’s Ante Up park offers a variety of features and a multi-jump line. The length and pitch of Ante Up provides a nice, smooth slopestyle flow featuring boxes, rails, jibs and view of Lake Tahoe.
“We have seen the excitement surrounding slopestyle build tremendously this year,” said John Wagnon, Heavenly’s Director of Marketing. “Heavenly is pleased to be bringing the action to our own Ante Up Park this March.”
Registration for the fourth PPOS stop at Heavenly Mountain Resort will open Feb. 25 at 10AM MST on Registration is expected to fill quickly.
