Sony has thrown their hat into the POV game with the debut of their rival to the GoPro, the Sony Action Cam. The camera is wearable, and can withstand extreme conditions like being submerged underwater up to 197 feet deep. Its slow-mo feature is unparalleled, and at full HD 1080, the quality of video is like no other action sports camera before it.
BMX and skate pros had the chance to try out the camera at the Sony Big Air Triples event in Venice, CA a week ago. Morgan Wade, Austin Coleman and other pros hit the course with cameras mounted. The event was a success with big airs, impressive tricks and insane flips. The crowd was in awe of the athletes’ performance, and the durability of the Action Cams.
The Ski Channel has had the opportunity to use the Sony Action Cam, and loves all the features that come with it. We wish Sony the best with their new endeavor. Check out some of the videos our production team made in conjunction with Sony http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB86F4CB31CAD28BD.
ASA Entertainment will produce a one-hour television show about the Sony Big Air Triples that will premiere on Fox Sports Net on Friday, Nov.23 at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.
