Snowboarder Jamie Anderson took home a first place victory in Friday's slopestyle final at the Breckenridge Dew Tour stop. Anderson was a crowd favorite during the semi-finals, and was able to channel that energy into her 96.00 score in the final round.
The key to Anderson's win was the sheer variety of maneuvers achieved during the com
petition. During her final run, she nailed spins in all four directions! Anderson nailed a half cab 5-0, frontside 720, switch backside 540, and finished with a huge 540 on the final jump. This epic performance propelled her from second to first place ahead of O'Brien.
“I don’t even have words!” exclaimed Anderson. “I really lifted my last jump and I knew that I needed my frontside 7 in my run, but I was having a hard time with it during training. I knew it was important to spin four ways and I am so thankful to be here. This is such a nice personal redemeption for me and this is what I wanted to do. The course was really fun too.”
