The 9th Annual Squaw Valley Prom was a tremendous success as $35,000 was raised for charity through ticket sales for the event that took place on February 23. The 90’s theme prom at Squaw Valley’s Olympic House saw 900 supporters that purchased tickets to one of the best nights of their life. The event featured seven bars, six world-class DJ’s and great promotions throughout the night from the exceptional sponsors.
“I’ve been to every single Squaw Valley Prom and this year’s event was by far the most fun,” exclaimed Kip Phelps, 9-time Squaw Valley Prom attendee. “The music was amazing, the crowd was remarkably in touch with the 1990’s theme and everyone was grinning ear-to-ear. I can’t wait for next year!”
Everyone in attendance knew they were in for a good time as the crowd was carefree and ready to let loose for charity. The proceeds benefitted the High Fives Foundation and its mission of supporting athletes that suffer from life-altering injuries incurred while pursuing their dreams in winter action sports. $13,000 was also designated for CHARITYSMITH: National Society of Memorial Funds.
The event has been growing in popularity and size every year as the partygoers continue to hype up the event. This year, KOSS DJ 200 Stereophones was the key player to the six DJ’s success in keeping the crowd pumped with their unique twists, mixes, and mashes of the most popular 1990’s tracks.
The Squaw Valley Prom is thankful to their title sponsors: Squaw Valley, GoPro, and KOSS Stereophones, presenting sponsor: Red Bull and supporting sponsors: Crux Events, Northwestern Mutual – Ryan Williams, Burton Snowboards, Coors Light, Volkl Skis, Dress the Part(y), bigtruck Brand and Tito’s Handmade Vodka. The event would not have been such a success without their support!
