Over the course of the past month, athletes from the west to the east have fallen onto the slopes of Kirkwood, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley to battle it out in the Rahlves’ Banzai Tour for the ultimate title of Banzai Champion and a total jackpot of $80,000. The Banzai Tour is returning to Sugar Bowl for the final stop of the 2013 tour Mar. 9-10, home of the original Silver Belt Banzai.

The Silver Belt Banzai is the final chance for athletes to absolutely go all out in order for the chance to advance to compete against Daron Rahlves’ and the winners from each tour stop during the Super Final. The final contestants will battle for the title of Banzai Master and the winner takes all prize of $10,000.

“Notable athletes from across the country have been traveling in to compete in the Banzai Tour, making this year’s race more than just a local’s competition,” exclaimed an impressed Daron Rahlves. “I’ll be pit up against some great racers at my home mountain for the Super Final, and I’m excited to give it my all.”

Former World Champion, 12-time World Cup winner, X-Games Gold Medalist, four-time Olympic skier, and Sugar Bowl Resort Ambassador Daron Rahlves currently holds the title of Banzai Master. However, looking at the astonishing athleticism and talent exemplified throughout the 2013 Tour, Rahlves better bring his A game to the competition because they’re gunning for him. The hyped competition is bound to bring lots of heated battles and excitement that you don’t want to miss.
