Ted Ligety has had a phenomenal 2012-2013 season as the World Champion and four-time Audi FIS Alpine World Cup giant slalom champion. Ligety had a record setting winter featuring a remarkable three gold medals at the 2013 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, six World Cup wins leading to a fourth giant slalom title and a career best finish in the overall World Cup standings with third. His impressive feats this season have earned him a public welcome home celebration at Park City Mountain Resort this Saturday, April 6 beginning at 1pm MT at the resort plaza.
The free event will be an awesome opportunity for fans to heighten their involvement with the U.S. Ski Team as there will be a skiing parade, video tribute to Ligety, and an autograph session. If that’s not enough of an attraction for you, there will also be live music featuring Bryon Friedman, U.S. Ski Team alum.
Ligety’s accomplishments and dedication to skiing has had a tremendous impact on the sport as he’s entering his 10th season with the U.S. Ski Team.
