Save Our Snow Promotes Sustainability On the Mountain

Interested in reducing your impact on the environment while you’re shredding fresh powder on the slopes? Saturday, April 13 Arapahoe Basin Ski Area will help you do just that by hosting its 5th annual Save Our Snow celebration designed to promote and encourage sustainable practices and recommend ways guests can reduce their impact on the environment. The High Country Conservation Center will benefit from all proceeds from the event. With 4″ of new snow in the past 24 hours how can you miss out?

Tickets will be offered for the discounted rate of $69 at the ticket office for solely that day, with $20 from each ticket purchased going straight to the High Country Conservation Center.

Environmentally aware and like-minded partners including Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, Innovative Energy, and the Colorado Foundation for Water Education will partake in the Green Village in the A-Basin base area. The goal of these organizations is encourage awareness and distribute guidance for the best sustainability practices people can put into practice.

Live music will be blasting in the base area from a DJ and Summit County’s High 5 beginning at noon. Guests are welcome to purchase opportunities to win prizes, such as A-Basin season pass and lift tickets, as well as other prizes from sponsors like Honey Stinger, Planet Earth Clothing, New Belgium, and much more.
