Mother Nature really doesn’t want winter to end as she has left a deep snow pack on the trails of Mount Snow’s Carinthia allowing the resort to open for one more weekend this Saturday and Sunday, April 20 and 21. Mount Snow opened mid-November and with this additional weekend of skiing and riding, the resort will experience one of its latest closing dates in the past decade.
“This has been such an exciting season, we wanted to keep that excitement going and take advantage of all the snow we still have at Carinthia,” said Kelly Pawlak, Mount Snow’s general manager. “We are looking forward to one more weekend of fun and hope to see a great turnout to people to help us celebrate the end of what was a fantastic winter.”
The resort plans to take advantage of the Nitro Express Quad, which will run from 9am-4pm both days, which will allow access to advanced terrain only. If the snow conditions stay strong, there will be an additional opening of the Beartrap Double which will lead you to the famous mogul run, Beartrap. Of course there will be 80’s music blasting from the lift tower mounted speakers because we’re definitely celebrating the extended season.
Lift tickets will be just $29 for all ages except those youngsters under 5 who ski for free. An added bonus is that anyone with a season pass to mountains that have already closed for the season can show their season pass at the ticket window and get $5 off the ticket price.
