 Who to watch:

Slopestyle: Last year, Nick Goepper, McRae Williams and Andreas Hatveit took Gold, Silver, and Bronze X games medals.  Although Andreas retired from competitive skiing, we can be sure Nick and McRae will be looking to repeat last year’s victories. This year all eyes are on Gus Kentworthy and Joss Christensen, who are coming hot off podium wins at the 2014 Olympic games. Oystein Braten will also be vying to win an X Games’ medal after laying down impressive runs at Dew Tour and taking second place. We can’t wait to watch the Men’s Ski Slopestyle elimination on Thursday.

On the lady’s side we can expect a great show from all the competitors. Keri Herman, Devin Logan, Dara Howell, Kim Lamarre, Emma Dahlstrom and Julia Krass will be among the participants competing for a podium spot on the Slopestyle course Saturday afternoon. We look forward to watching Dara, Devin and Kim defend their medals from last year’s Olympic games. However, with Keri, Emma and Julia taking first, second and third at Dew Tour it’s anyone’s game for the taking.

SuperPipe: On the pipe side, Olympic medalists David Wise, Mike Riddle and Kevin Rolland will be defending their titles. We were impressed with the SuperPipe skiing from Torin Yater-Wallace, Gus Kentworthy and Alex Ferreira in the Dew Tour Championships earlier this season.  Expect to see big runs from all the pipe participants at X.

The women will also be battling it out for an X games’ medal. Maddie Bowman, Marie Martinod and Ayana Onozuka took the podium in the Winter Olympics. Annalisa Drew took second at Dew tour with Bowman taking the honors and Onozuka in third place. Brita Sigourney, Roz Groenwould and Devin Logan will all be contenders in the SuperPipe as well! We can’t to see all the ladies lay it all on the line and put down their best runs on Wednesday night!

We are eager to see the Mono Skier Cross competitors take the course this year! These competitors are some of the toughest, most skilled riders out there! We can be sure to expect amazing performances from each athlete as they vie for X Games medals. Be sure to check out the profile piece on X competitor Josh Dueck, courtesy of ESPN:

As always, X Games is anyone’s game. We are excited to watch our favorite athletes compete at the highest level and ultimately rival to earn a spot on this year’s podium. We know all the competitors have worked hard on new tricks, new runs and new creativity to bring to X this year!
