On February 22nd, Special Olympic Winter athletes will take to the slopes and skating rink at Copper Mountain to compete in the 27th Special Olympic Winter games. Six different sports will hold competitions for the athletes to showcase their skills. The Special Olympics Winter Games feature competitions, a dance, family activities and a huge firework celebration to close the festivities. One thing we are certain about is these athletes have more fun than just about anyone.

This program is crucial to the sports community and their effort and passion for the Winter Games is unmatched. The athletes, coaches and families put their heart and soul into the Special Olympic programs to create memorable experiences for each competitor. The athletes look forward to this event each year, their anticipation of competing creates an enthusiastic and animated environment.
