The bad news: Yet another ski season is coming to a close.
The good news: It’s time for all the spring skiing end of season shenanigans!
Every year all of us go through the end of the season withdrawals all skiers, boarders, snowskaters, snowbladers (do you still exist?) and every other form of snow sliders have to endure. It’s going to be a long summer filled with dreams of another (and hopefully snowier) winter. It’s not quite over yet, though! With the sadness of a closing season comes the jubilation, partying, crazy costume skiing madness of closing day madness! This means great food, pond skimming, skiers and boarders dressed in grandmas closet and all the ski area strangeness you can shake a stick at.
It’s been a strange season for sure and it seems like more and more areas have been forced to close early so please check your local mountain’s information for closing date. We may not have had the best season snow-wise, but with all snowsports it’s about the memories you create with friends and family out on the hill. It’s about building those experiences we all look back on. And as we saw this year that’s becoming more and more unpredictable from season to season.
So dig through the closet, the thrift shop and whatever place you find your costumes and get out to those pond skims and end of the year parties and celebrate another amazing year doing what we love! Also, be sure to head on over to our facebook page and share your best end of season pictures!
If you need any more motivation here’s a video from the guys up Big Sky Resort in Montana doing their crazy pond skimming thing last year!
