Harsh Winter Conditions Bring Fatal Avalanche That Cut Off Alpine Ski Resort in Switzerland

We are sad to report that a total of 24 people died from weather-related incidents across Europe over the past week, according to the Associated Press (AP).

Due to extreme weather in the Alps that to make headlines due to massive snow storms, the past 24 hours westward into Switzerland are deemed “avalanche risk”. The north and eastern parts of Switzerland have also been set at the highest level and the number of fatalities which continue to rise due to these harsh winter conditions.

Davos, a Swiss ski resort, was the most recent natural disaster added the list of devastation in the Alpine.

The resort has been cut off leaving thousand of visitors and locals stranded due to heavy snowfall.

This caused numerous trees to collapse over the railway tracks overall increasing avalanche danger which has forced road closures in the area.
