It seems that Vladimir Putin is not the only one who prefers to be photographed in the nude lately. The Lebanese skier Jackie Chamoun who is competing in slalom and giant slalom Olympic events, posed in the nude for an Austrian skiing calendar. The photos were taken three years ago but the photos and behind-the-scenes footage of the photo-shoot have surfaced and have caused quite the controversy in the media and especially back in her homeland of Lebanon.

According to BBC News Jackie wrote on her Facebook stating “I want to apologise to all of you, I know that Lebanon is a conservative country and this is not the image that reflects our culture,” she wrote. “I fully understand if you want to criticise this.”

The spotlight has switched from her Olympic performance to the ‘scandal’ of her nude photos. The media have even started hash tags such as #stripforJackie, for those who are supporting her in that the fact you cannot see her ‘fully naked’ in the photos. And some have taken the extreme notion saying Jackie has ‘stripped Lebanon naked’ of its pride and embarrassed Lebanon entirely.
