A 13 year old boy was pronounced dead on Friday after sustaining injuries in a skiing accident while visiting Copper Mountain, Colorado.
Austyn Williams, a spokesperson for the mountain told the Denver Post that the resort's ski patrol received a call prior to 1pm describing an injured boy on Vein Glory,
a popular beginners trail. Reports indicate that the child was not wearing a helmet.
Upon recovery, the victim was taken to nearby Saint Anthony's Copper Mountain Medical Clinic where he was pronounced dead.
At this time, the coroner's office has not released any specific details to the cause of death. More updates to come as they are made available.
