The first round of the Tahoe Celebrity Golf Tournament starts on Friday July 17, 2009. This year's initial groupings have some interesting combinations. World Cup alpine skier Bode Miller is matched up with two fellow winter Olympians in Dan Jansen and Mike Eruzione. NBA legend Michael Jordan is paired up with hoopsters Anfernee Hardaway and Ray Allen.

Tony Romo is playing alongside two of the greatest NFL quarterbacks in history in John Elway and Dan Marino. For the Dallas Cowboys fans out there this is a blessing in disguise. Can't think of two better guys that can help Romo get over Jessica Simpson while teaching him the ways of the force.

The group of NFL running back legends Emmitt Smith, Marcus Allen, Marshall Faulk should be awe inspiring along with NHL greats Wayne Gretzky, Grant Fuhr & Pierre Larouche.

But the funniest pairing to watch will be comedian Ray Romano and Charles Barkley; Romano for his stand up antics and Barkley for his swing, game & commentary.

Hope all these guys are mic'd up. It would be interesting to hear what their conversations would be like.
