Balloon boy's mother admits hoax was father's idea
If there was any shred of doubt about the ballon boy incident being a hoax, those shreds can be tossed. Mayumi Heene, wife of Richard Heene, (both parents of balloon boy Falcon Heene) from Denver just a few minutes from some of the best skiing in the world has revealed that the hoax was all Richard's idea. The motive was to gain publicity for a potential reality show. Richard built the balloon in the first place specifically for this hoax. TLC, who produces "Jon and Kate Plus 8" passed on a reality show pitch given by Heene a few months ago.
It seems with all the press the Heene's are getting for putting on this hoax, they don't even need a reality show.
Was it worth the charges that might be pressed against you?
