Official downhill training for U.S. Ski Team men today at Lake Louise World Cup
The U.S. Ski Team men have been in Lake Louise, Canada, for the opening Audi FIS speed World Cup. Today, the athletes will be running downhill training, which is exactly like the race, but the results don’t earn World Cup points. It will be their first ‘official’ race run of the season!
Bode Miller, Marco Sullivan, Erik Fisher, TJ Lanning, Steven Nyman, Ted Ligety and Scott Macartney will be starting for the U.S. It will be an exciting day, and the first ‘race’ for Macartney, Nyman and Lanning after knee surgeries. Check back here at the Ski Channel to see their results!
The official race starts Saturday, November 28 with the downhill followed by Super G on Sunday, November 29. Until then, the men have three days of downhill training.
