Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and The Ski Channel present a challenge to skiing Twi-hards

OK. We here at The Ski Channel have definitely caught on to this "Twilight" frenzy...heck our website gets about a thousand times more views whenever we write a story about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart making out, or the sexual energy of Taylor Lautner, than when we actually write about skiing and snowboarding. So, how can we connect the two? We love "New Moon", Taylor Lautner and all that jazz...but we also love skiing. And we really love funny ski stories.

So here's the deal. Listen up, Twi-hards. If you have a hysterically funny or awkward story that revolves around skiing or snowboarding (or any other mountain sport) in any way...submit it in the comment box. A panel of us here at TSC will read and judge the stories based on comedy/awkward tragedy/cringe-iness etc. The winner gets a free "New Moon" t-shirt AND a free The Ski Channel t-shirt, courtesy of The Ski Channel. And you get to make out with a member of the cast.*

Oh, and just for the record...I think the majority of us here are on Team Jacob.

*Note: you may make out with a member of the cast of a show produced by The Ski Channel, not "The Twilight Saga: New Moon". Keep dreaming.

Once it snowed in my neighborhood and we have a huge field with alot of hills so me and my two brothers decided it was a suitable place to snow board. Well my friend owns a horse in my neighborhood and the thing got spooked by something and broke out of it's stall and was running loose in my neighborhood. Well my older brother had made a huge ramp that sent you pretty high in the air if you knew how to snow board very well. Anyways I was nervous about the ramp but started going down the steep hill anyways. All of the sudden I hear this huge thunderin noise and I look and it was my friends spooked horse running straight for where I was goin to land. At first I didnt know what to do and I couldnt stop so I just prayed for the best. The timing must had been perfect because when I went off the ramp and when I was shot up in the air, the horse came right in front of me and was under me. I landed on the horses rear end and when the horse felt me it spooked even more and bucked me off into the air and I ended up landing on my older brother who was just couldnt believe what was happening. I was ok and so was my brother I was a little sore that was all. But that was the most bazzare thing that has ever happened to me.

I went skiing for the first time a year ago when I was 18. I went with 4 friends who already knew how to ski. Two of them taught me how to ski on the beginner's hill, where we spent an hour and a half. I finally felt really confident and we decided I would be fine going down an actual trail. So we got on the ski lift to the top and as I was getting off the lift I fell flat on my face. As if that wasn't embarrassing enough, when I got up and looked down the mountain I was paralyzed with fear. In my excitement to ski I had forgotten my fear of heights. My friends tried to convince me to go down, but I physically could not move. My one friend finally suggested that we give our skis and poles to our other friend and we could just roll down the mountain together. By the time we got to the bottom of the mountain I was insanely dizzy from rolling, freezing from the snow in my jacket and snow pants, and incredibly embarrassed. I haven't been skiing since.

I'm the guy in the Vail picture who fell off the lift and got caught by my pants. Billions of people all over the world have seen my naked ass. That has got to be worth a couple TShirts?

Haha! When I took the children's ski lift for the first time. I constantly jamp all the way.. And I fell, ofc. I didn't know what to do. So I just tried to hold on. It looked stupid, I promise you... Also there was about 17 older teenagers by the lift, and absolutely EVERYONE laughed. I blushed red as a tomato, and screamed: "what am I supposed to do?!" and that was even more hilarious.. Well, I tried to avoid that lift. Still doing it.

It's not about team Jacob or team Edward, it's about team double pound...

I won the Spy goggles a couple of months ago and thought I put up a pretty good thing for the Crested Butte trip before. But alas to no avail, I have nothing that stacks up to falling off a chair lift and having billions of people see my cheeks.

So I live in Sun Valley Idaho. Once it snowed like 6 feet and I'm 5 feet 8 . I am on the snowboard team and so we went up for the day . We decided to go in the trees and do powder jumping off the trees , so we were in the trees and I jumped off this tree and landed oh my ass but I couldn't get out the powder covered me . My team didn't realize I was missing and I sat in the one spot for 3 hours . It was so cold and still snowing so then I decided no one coming back for me so then I tryed getting out of my board so I could hike up. It took me an hour so get out of my board and another 2 hours to hike up. Thats the bad thing about being so small, but when I got up to the top it was a ton of fun going down so it was all worth it.

The first time I ever went skiing (and last), some friends were teaching me how to stop and turn. I thought I had it down so I went with them on the lift up to the small hill. When I got up there I couldn't do it. I kept falling and was scared I was gonna hit a tree. So I ended up having to have one of the guys put his skis on the outside of mine and basically piggyback me down the hill. There is still a video of me with parents commentary of "she's up, no she's down, now she's up, no she's down". Needless to say I haven't been back
