U.S. Ski Team athlete TJ Lanning evacuated to Vail

U.S. Ski Team racer TJ Lanning has been taken to Vail, Colorado, today, after a crash this past weekend which left him with a dislocated knee and a fractured vertebra in his neck.  Global Rescue took Lanning to Vail by a medically equipped Learjet, and he landed in Colorado at 2:10 p.m. local time.  Lanning chose to be taken to the Vail Valley Medical Center after his accident, where he was going in excess of over 90 miles per hour.  He caught an edge in the opening downhill at Lake Louise and fell face-first before tumbling several times and then falling into the safety netting lining of the course.
