Why Garrido attorney was dismissed from Jaycee Lee Dugard case

The sudden dismissal of Nancy Garrido's attorney a few weeks ago raised many questions from the legal community.  Now, it appears that some of them are being answered, as Gilbert Maines allegedly told friends over a few cocktails that he was planning to write a book after the trial ended.  Garrido, along with her husband Phillip, are charged in the kidnapping of South Lake Tahoe girl Jaycee Lee Dugard.  Maines was her court-appointed attorney, and he was removed from the case on November 5.  Maines is denying the accusations that he made these comments during lunch at his country club, and is fighting to be put back on the case.
